The Creuben Sandwich

The Creuben Sandwich

the traditional Reuben spliced with a Cuban

As far as sandwiches go the Reuben is king in our book. Packed with pastrami, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, pickles and a Russian style sauce on rye it’s a rich, salty and spicy flavour bomb. Another popular sanga is the Cuban which piles on pork, ham, cheese, mustard and pickles, all ingredients that work with those found in a Reuben… so why not combine the two!

The pastrami recipe below is for our oyster blade pastrami however shortrib or brisket would work just as well. If you can’t find Jarlsberg then Swiss is fine and there’s room to experiment with different styles of bread and changing up the ingredients in the Russian sauce.
